International Festival of the Russian Language and Culture for International Students «The Russian Language Unites Continents»
International students from MSTU, Juma Ashraf (MBP‑1), Kahana Edgar Deogratius (ND‑31), Wisaka Helen Thomas (LD‑301), Kizito Cecilia Selisius (LD‑406), and Taha Riham (LD‑501), under the guidance of the head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language Bolokova Nuriyet Kadyrbechevna, participated in the International Festival of the Russian Language and Culture for International Students «The Russian Language Unites Continents». The event was held at the Kalmyk State University named after B. B. Gorodovikov.
The festival is organized to promote the Russian language and culture and to encourage pursuing education in Russia. This is the first time KSU has hosted the event. The festival is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Pre‑University Training and Education of International Students at Kalmyk State University named after B. B. Gorodovikov.
After getting acquainted with the Faculty of Pre‑University Training and Education, our students joined peers from other Russian universities to attend open classes and master classes, take part in role‑playing games and discussions, go on a city tour, compete in the International Olympiad in the Russian Language and Country Studies «Access Code – Russian Language», and perform in the creative contest.
We are looking forward to welcoming our students back home and hope they will share their impressions!
