Faculty of International Education was established in October 2003. Main activities of the faculty are preparatory training courses for foreign students and their socio-cultural adaptation support.
Since its foundation more than 1000 foreign students completed preparatory training course and around 1000 continue their education at various faculties of the university. Faculty of International Education opened its doors for foreign students from more than 40 countries of near and far abroad.
Studying at the preparatory course students master their Russian language as a necessary means of everyday and professional communication, sociocultural and didactic adaptation and acquire necessary educational skills, eliminate gaps in knowledge of general educational disciplines, become familiar with the system of Russian higher education and choose their major for further education.
Training is conducted in four main groups: technical, bio-medical, economic, humanitarian. Besides Russian language, students study mathematics, physics, chemistry, Russian literature, biology, computer science, economics, and regional geography. The teaching staff is presented by 17 candidates of science (PhD) and 1 Doctor of science.
Modern university infrastructure provided for foreign students includes a research library, three dormitories, a canteen, a cafe and buffets in each educational building, medical facilities, sports and gyms, open areas for sports, educational and health care complex, driving school.
All forms of effective adaptation of different cultures’ representatives have been created in a multicultural society of the region considering the mentality, attitudes and values of foreign students. Cultural events and entertainment are an integral part of students’ life holidays and anniversaries, concerts and theme nights, contests and student festival of national cultures “We are the One”.
