Faculty of Agrarian Technology was founded in 1996. The faculty consists of four departments: Department of food technology and catering; Department of Agricultural Production Technology; Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Physics-chemical Research Methods, Department of Land Management. 6 Doctors and 32 Candidates of Science work at the faculty.
The educational process is provided by modern educational, methodological and laboratory base that allow students to master their future professions and gain solid knowledge according to the requirements of the time. Knowledge acquired in the classrooms is realized in practice at the relevant enterprises of the agricultural and pharmaceutical sector presented by leading scientific institutions and enterprises of food and processing industry, cosmetics and pharmaceutical companies (Roche, Stada, Novartis, Servier, Gedeon Richter, KRKA), located in Russia and abroad, government agencies (Office of the Federal Service for State Registration; Cadastre and Cartography in the Republic of Adygeya; branch of the Federal Cadastral Chamber; Committee of the Republic of Adygeya for Property Relations, etc.), that provide long-term contracts for practical and pre-diploma training and research work for bachelors, masters and graduate students.
The teaching staff of the faculty are prominent scientific workers, experts in the field of crop insurance, members of different dissertation councils. The facilities of Collective and industrial plantings and laboratories of Maykop Experimental Station VIR, Federal State Budgetary Institution of Ukraine, Adygeya Research Institute of Agriculture; Soil laboratory of the Caucasian Natural Biosphere Reserve are widely used in the educational process.
Since 2015 the project “Historical reconstruction of old Circassian gardens” in cooperation with the Heritage Foundation, under guidance of leading scientists of the department and active work of students has been fulfilled.
