The International Scientific and Practical Conference on Topical Issues of Science and Education took place at MSTU on May, 24
The participants of the conference were students, undergraduates, postgraduates and scientists of the Maykop State Technological University.

The V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Topical issues of Science and Education" was aimed at discussing the current problems of modern science, finding ways to solve the problems of the development of modern education, establishing and developing scientific ties between scientists, exchanging scientific and practical achievements.
The organizers of the conference are the management of scientific activities of MSTU under the leadership of the President of the university Aslan Thakushinov, Rector Saida Kuizheva and Vice—Rector for Research and Innovative Development Tatiana Ovsyannikova.
Within the framework of the sections, reports were heard in the following areas: biological sciences; technical sciences; information technologies; agricultural sciences; historical sciences; pedagogical sciences; medical sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; sociological sciences; economic sciences; legal sciences; earth sciences.
The working program started at the Department of Technology of machinery and equipment of food production. The session of the section was devoted to the topic "Food security: problems and solutions". The scientific and pedagogical staff and a master's student of the department took part in its work. Scientific reports on topical issues and problems of food security were discussed, the ways to solve them were proposed.
At the Department of Standardization, Metrology and Commodity Expertise, a section was held on the topic: "Functional food market: current state and development prospects". The participants of the section discussed a wide range of issues. Among them: the state of the global market, analysis of regulatory support for the production and sale of functional food products, modern approaches to the creation of functional food products using dairy by-products, prospects for the use of local plant raw materials in the production of functional products, the use of innovative marketing elements in the promotion of functional food products to the consumer market.
The working group of the Department of Administrative and Criminal Law of the Faculty of Information Systems in Economics and Law held a meeting of the section "Actual problems of Russian Law" under the leadership of Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Elena Kurbanova.
The purpose of the meeting was to study the current state, problems and prospects of development of Russian law, including constitutional, criminal, tax, administrative, family, civil procedure legislation, as well as labor legislation. The main emphasis was placed on the problems of changes in legislation in various branches of law.
