Candidate of Art History of MSTU Nafiset Kidakoeva became a participant of the International fashion and Design conference
The XXVI International Scientific Conference "Fashion and Design: Historical Experience - New Technologies" was held at the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design on May, 25.

Among the participants of the conference was the Candidate of Art History of the Maikop State Technological University, senior lecturer of the Department of Metrology and Standardization Nafiset Kidakoeva.
The directions of the plenary session were: Costume in historical perspective; Reconstruction and restoration of historical costume; Traditional costume of the peoples of Russia and neighboring countries; Costume design and fashion in the context of new aesthetics; Textile traditions and the latest technologies; Connotation "Male-female" in traditional and secular design and art culture (costume and interior); Mass culture in the information society system; Dolls and mannequins: history and modernity; Interior decoration in the context of the subject-art environment; Teaching methods in the professional training of designers, art historians, curators of costume expositions.
Nafiset Zaurovna presented to the audience her report "The Mask of Azhegaf: a gaming tradition — a modern look", which analyzed the collection of a young designer Lika Saralp, created on the basis of artifacts of the Russian Ethnographic Museum. The basis of the collection was the mask of the costumed azhegaf.
"Traditional costume often becomes an occasion for inspiration of modern designers. However, there are also ritual costumes for ceremonial events in popular culture. Designer Lika Saralp demonstrated in her collection the possibilities of modern technologies creating a new image of a bright representative of the culture of joke of the Adygs of Azhegaf," said Nafiset Kidakoeva.
